Water Management Systems

The Future of Smart Water Management

Water managers across the United States need clean, safe water. Old water treatment methods cost a lot and were built mainly for basic compliance. At Biz-Reps, we take a new approach. Our management systems do more than filter water. We turn wastewater into a clean, reusable resource. Our Aqualyte™ nanotechnology makes this work. It helps water utilities reach their smart water management goals in a cost-effective way.

Aqualyte™ “Smart Plastic”

All of our water systems use Aqualyte. It is a modified block copolymer material. Standard membranes clog often. Aqualyte does not. It is dense and non-porous. It moves water molecules fast while blocking almost all contaminants. This makes it a key tool for monitoring water quality and protecting water resources for the long term.

  • Selective Permeability: Aqualyte favors water molecules. It stops gases, salts, and metals from passing through.
  • Inherent Fouling Resistance: Its smooth surface forms a thin water layer. This layer keeps contaminants and microbes from sticking.
  • Proven Durability: This platform has over 20 years of use in tough industrial settings. Water managers count on it daily.

NanoClear™ Industrial Purification

Some water systems face problems that standard tools cannot fix. NanoClear steps in where reverse osmosis fails.

  • Extreme Salinity Tolerance: NanoClear treats water with up to 25 percent salinity. That is 250,000 mg per liter TDS. It does this without hurting the membrane.
  • Ultra-High Purity: Treated water is 100 times cleaner than United States EPA drinking water standards.
  • Minimal Pretreatment: Only basic filtration down to 20 microns is needed. This cuts upfront costs for water infrastructures.

NanoConcentrator™ for Efficient Water Management

The NanoConcentrator helps water utilities manage water better. It uses the Aqualyte membrane to let water pass through at the molecular level. Contaminants, pathogens, and PFAS chemicals are blocked. This plays a critical role in reducing the risk of chemical harm in treated water. It is a smart choice for sustainable water management practices.

  • Low Energy, Low Pressure: This system does not need high-pressure pumps. It runs on low pressure and waste heat. Energy use drops sharply.
  • High Contaminant Removal and Zero Liquid Discharge: The system treats tough industrial wastewater. It makes clean, potable water and shrinks waste to a small stream. It removes PFOA, PFOS, and GenX fully.
  • High Recovery Rates: A single pass through the system gets the most water out. This supports zero discharge goals.
  • Cost Savings: You can save up to 40 percent on operating costs versus standard water treatment. The system also works in remote sites, which helps where water supply is limited.

Dais Zero™ Atmospheric Water Generation

The Dais Zero™ system creates a new way to get water. It pulls water from humidity in the air using nano materials. Because the Aqualyte membrane is solid, it stops mold and bacteria from growing. The system is very easy to own because there is no filter replacement needed for the core unit. It provides a clean, local water source for your building.

  • No Plumbing Required.
  • 100% Pure Drinking Water.
  • No Filters or Media to Replace.

Real-World Results

PFAS Removal

Case Study One: PFAS Removal

Tests by Pace Analytical Services showed how NanoClear handles PFAS in groundwater. The test water held 2,000 parts per trillion of PFAS total.

  • The Scope: Thirty-six PFAS types were tested, including PFOA, PFOS, and GenX.
  • The Result: None were found in the treated water.
  • Performance: The treated water was as clean as lab tools could detect.
Brine Water Testing

Case Study Two: Industrial Brine and Cost Savings in Shanghai

A plant in Shanghai used NanoClear to treat salty wastewater. The water started at 86,000 microsiemens per centimeter.

  • The Result: TDS dropped by 99.99 percent. Output water measured just 4 microsiemens per centimeter.
  • Financial Impact: Costs fell from $0.84 to $0.59 per cubic meter. The plant moved from a four-step process to one single pass with NanoClear.

FAQs

How does the Aqualyte™ membrane differ from traditional filtration media?

Unlike conventional membranes that rely on physical pores to strain contaminants, Aqualyte™ is a dense, non-porous polymer. It operates via pervaporation, a process where water molecules are chemically attracted to the hydrophilic regions of the membrane and transported through the material as a vapor. Because there are no pores, contaminants like salts, metals, and bio-organisms cannot become trapped or “lodge” in the material, making it inherently resistant to fouling.

Can NanoClear™ handle high-salinity wastewater better than Reverse Osmosis (RO)?

Yes, significantly. While Reverse Osmosis (RO) systems struggle once salinity exceeds 6–8% due to massive increases in required pressure and energy, NanoClear™ is tested to handle salt concentrations up to 25% (250,000 mg/L). Because NanoClear™ is driven by a thermal gradient rather than high pressure, its energy consumption remains relatively independent of the total dissolved solids (TDS) in the wastewater.

What are the primary maintenance and pretreatment requirements?

One of the key advantages of this technology is its simplicity. Pretreatment is typically limited to suspended solids filtration to 20 microns and pH adjustment (between 2–11) to ensure optimal performance. Maintenance is also minimal; if performance begins to degrade, a simple one-hour citric acid flush is recommended to remove surface scale and rejuvenate the system.
